About The Area We Cover
Local Knowledge
If you’re considering letting property in Nantwich or the surrounding area, talk to us to gain local insight which can help you make more informed decisions about where to buy if you’re an investor landlord, or where to live if you’re a prospective tenant.
While our Nantwich office is conveniently based in the town centre, near to plenty of accessible parking, our team will be happy to give you advice on the surrounding area. So we’re used to handling lettings in Willaston, Tarporley, Audlem, Wrenbury, Aston and other local villages.
Our Nantwich lettings office also covers North Shropshire, so we are active for lettings in Whitchurch, Maplas, Ightfield, Wern, Market Drayton, Loggerheads and the many villages in between.
Letting in the Nantwich area
Nantwich and its surrounding towns of Whitchurch, Tarporley and Audlem are set in the heart of the Cheshire and Shropshire countryside, but still enjoy excellent road and rail networks - the M6 and other major motorways as well as the West Coast Mainline. Many people are attracted to the area because they can enjoy living in a rural area, even if their work takes them further afield.
Letting in Nantwich
Recorded in the Domesday Book, Nantwich is steeped in history – razed to the ground by the Normans, frequently attacked by Welsh marauders in the 1300’s, the Great Fire in 1583 which destroyed most of the town and, being the only town in Cheshire to declare for Parliament in the English Civil War, was besieged several times until the Royalist victory at the Battle of Nantwich in 1644.
Luckily for us, it’s a little quieter now! Our only invasion is from the thousands of welcome tourists who come to enjoy the atmosphere of our lovely market town with over 100 listed buildings, the largest number of historic buildings outside of Chester.
In recent years the population has increased to around 30,000, largely to an influx of new housing developments including Cronkinsons Farm near Stapeley and Kingsley Village close to the town centre..
We work closely on relocation packages with many local businesses, including Bentley Motors, VW Group, Rolls Royce Aerospace, Focus Group, Air Products and Network Rail.
Letting in Whitchurch
Whitchurch is a pretty town which includes a lovely collection of 16th and 17th century black and white timber frame houses.
It is rich in heritage but today its economy is based on manufacturing, agriculture, construction, catering, tourism, banking & finance.
Three new housing developments have recently been made and new businesses continue to open and grow on four local industrial estates.
Letting in Tarporley
The village of Tarporley is located on the beautiful Cheshire Plain. It’s a distinctive place with a thriving atmosphere as it’s home to many historic buildings, antique shops and fashion boutiques as well as a variety of cafes and restaurants.
Letting in Audlem
Audlem is situation on the Shropshire Union Canal which has a run of 15 locks, designed by Thomas Telford, to raise the canal from the Cheshire Plain to the Shropshire Plain.
In 2005 it was voted Cheshire’s Village of the Year and the North of England ‘Village of the Year’ also the ‘Most Vibrant Village in Cheshire’. After also winning the county’s ‘Building Community Life’ award, Audlem went on to win England’s ‘Building Community Life’ award.
