April 23, 2012

Temples strikes gold in national contest.

Staff at the four Temples offices in Cheshire are celebrating after striking gold in a major contest rewarding the country’s top estate and lettings agents, recognising excellent customer service as voted for by landlords throughout last year and 2012.
Temples beat off stiff competition to scoop top place at the Estate and Letting Agents Awards 2012 as Best Small Chain Letting Agent in the UK, and the Northwich office brought home a Bronze Award for Best Letting Agent in the region.

TV celebrity and star of Channel 4’s Location, Location, Location, Phil Spencer, handed over the prize at a lavish luncheon and presentation ceremony staged at the plush Hilton Park Lane Hotel in London before a crowd of 550 of the UK’s leading estate and lettings agents.

More than 33,000 votes were received and lettings specialist Temples took a big slice of the public vote.
Temples is a real family affair with Roy Kitchen starting the business in Nantwich and Chester in 2002, his son Steven heading up the lettings team in the Nantwich office, and daughter Natalie and son-in-law Gary Williams opening the Northwich office in 2006 to expand the Cheshire family group, followed by the Crewe office opening by Roy and partner Alex Kemp in 2007.
Natalie, Director of the Northwich office, said: “Everyone at Temples is absolutely delighted with these awards. We entered our family business into the competition for some good honest feedback from our landlords so that we could see what areas we could improve on. Through continually reviewing and changing our systems and processes, our aim has always been to deliver outstanding customer service and we are thrilled to know our clients believe we do just that. Gold for Best Small Chain in the UK is a fantastic reward for the hard work we put into our customer service levels and I can’t wait to see what impact this has on our business.”
The ESTAS, sponsored by Zoopla.co.uk the property search website, are voted for by buyers, vendors and landlords as part of the biggest independent consumer survey of its kind in the UK property industry.
Organiser, Simon Brown, said: “Agents that take part in the ESTAS believe passionately in providing the highest quality customer service.  They are prepared to go that extra mile, prepared to take criticism as well as praise and prepared to invest and develop their businesses accordingly.”

Phil Spencer said: “The ESTAS are the most important and valuable awards in our industry.  An ESTA is not an easy accolade to pick up. To win one requires a lot of hard work over a very long period of time.”
